September Round-up

We are now one month into the new rugby season and both The Lions and The Lionesses remain unbeaten.
The Lions are top of their league - Midland 5 W (S). They started with a home victory against local rivals Rugby Welsh (43-5) and followed up with an impressive away win at Trinity Guild (80-0). Last weekend was the first round of the Midlands Junior Vase and The Lions were drawn away against Atherstone from the league above. Fielding a young inexperienced side The Lions were again victorious winning a close game 19-12. We are awaiting the draw for the next round.
This weekend sees The Lions entertain Warwickians in the league - kick off at 3.00 p.m.
The Lionesses have now played two league games. Their first was away at Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies where they won convincingly 60-5. This was followed by a tightlu fought home draw  against Stafford Ladies 10-10.
On Sunday the Lionesses  have a tough away game at Keresley.
Also on Sunday is the Mini Lions Festival at Webb Ellis Road. With the weather forecast to improve this should be a very busy and entertaining day. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Lets hope that October is another successful month.
