Juniors
Junior life with the Rugby Lions starts from the U13’s through to U16’s. During these 4 seasons you will increase your knowledge of the game and have opportunities to progress to district and county levels of play. You will be treated as an adult and of course with this brings added responsibilities, like wearing of club shirt & tie to all fixtures taking on more responsibilities.
The team as well gets bigger from 12 players to the full 15 aside and the duration of the game gets longer the older you become. You will start to learn new skills and of course work on the ones you learnt during your minis days. Each year at the end of the season it is more than likely you will go on tour and new opposition.
In the Juniors section we promote team work, leading from the front, sharing, friendship which could last a life time and the sense of being part of a team and of the Rugby Lions Club. Many juniors have gone on to playing for the Colts, Lions 2nds and more importantly the First team. The club believes in its juniors sections and knows that they are the future of the club. With this in mind the First Team Coaches hold a masterclass each month for the juniors, which gives you the feeling of being part of a very bright future within the club.
